30th-31st October 2010 - Paul Ricard
Even Wetter than Spa!
The 12 F3’s that made the long journey to the south of France for the season finale at Paul Ricard took part in a test of human endurance with high winds, monsoon rain, fog and low temperatures rather than a race. However the meeting saw a strong UK contingent of David Methley, Jim Chapman, Stuart Tizzard and Leif Bosson with the welcome return of Jorg Tobler, Philippe Bonny and John of B. The Christophe Caternet ex Philippe 'Souzazini' Tecno raced at Monaco by Alfredo Maisto was driven by M Bonna.
David Methley winning the first race from Francois Derossi with Roland Fischer in third place. The second race in heavy rain that turned into thick fog and saw Roland Fischer (using his Rally experience?) sneak through the gloom to pass David Methley and take the win. David took second from Jim Chapman with an excellent third and Jorg Tobler in fourth. The win and second gave David Methley the European F3 Trophy Title to add to his success in the Peter Hanson Trophy.
